Gemma studied Drawing & Painting at Edinburgh College of Art where she was given the chance to explore and experiment with many materials and techniques. Working primarily in watercolour, Gemma also likes to incorporate different materials into her paintings, including objects often found on the beach. She loves the outdoors and was brought up on the isle of Skye as a result of which landscape, natural form and wildlife have always played an important role in her work. In addition to Gemma's paintings and drawings, she also produces bags, jewellery, hats, prints and trinket boxes.
